One thing I do like to do with any converted photo is add back just a little of the color. Convert the image to black and white. With ‘Monochrome’ on and the ‘Preserve Luminosity’ option off, the resulting picture would be at 75%+75%+0% =150%, very bright indeed. While most digital cameras offer you the option to shoot in Black and White (and can produce some reasonable results) you have more control over your end results if you have the color data to work with in your conversion on your computer.
